This 4U chassis features up to ten hot swap hard drive bays, three optical media drive bays and hot swap cooling fans. The 24.5" depth of the chassis supports a variety of 14-slot form factor backplanes, PICMG 1.3 system host boards or PICMG 1.0 single board computers. The term "14-slot" refers to a backplane's mechanical form factor. The backplane options for this chassis are listed to the left with a summary of each backplane's slot count.
