Customer Support Engineer


Job Summary:
Provides technical support and information on Trenton products and their expected performance in response to customer calls and inquiries, and other duties as assigned.


Required Education, Skills & Experience:

  • BSEE or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Applications Engineering environment or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of personal computers and operating systems
  • Familiar with standard PC peripherals such as PCI Express, network interfaces, RAID, Com-ports, video controllers, etc.
  • Must be experienced with troubleshooting all aspects of PC operation – from problems turning on the initial display – to hardware and configuration-related aspects of system operation
  • Thorough knowledge of all released Trenton processors, backplanes, and systems; including capabilities and limitations of all possible board configurations – especially operating system and driver installation
     

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage phone and e-mail support for Trenton customers and potential customers
  • Provide timely reports on customer support issues to sales and engineering departments
  • Coordinate with sales to maintain highest level of customer satisfaction possible
  • Inform engineering department of anomalies that need correction or investigation
  • Manage configuration of test systems to duplicate and troubleshoot customer problems
  • Make recommendations to test department about new methods for qualifying boards and BIOS

Test Development Engineer

 

Job Summary:
Ability to perform advanced programming tasks in LabVIEW. Interfacing with USB/Serial devices, Analog and Digital I/O handling, and testing of microprocessor and control boards. Ability to construct Sub-VIs and scripts for use with LabView in performing automatic test functions including data acquisition and control.

Responsibilities Desirable Skills, and Certification Requirements:

​RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the hands-on operations of test processes including; establishing test specific data acquisition and control programs, validating and troubleshooting the test program(s), and performing initial review of testing results.
  • Develop, implement and troubleshoot solutions to address hardware and software issues on test benches.

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Advanced knowledge of various industrial automation protocols such as CAN, RS-232/485, Ethernet, GPIB, etc..
  • A solid understanding of electronics and test methods for validation of hardware and software functionality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • The NI LabVIEW certification levels: 
    • Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer - This certification indicates a broad working knowledge of the LabVIEW environment, a basic understanding of coding and documentation best practices, and the ability to understand and interpret existing code. 
    • Certified LabVIEW Developer - At this level, an engineer has shown the ability to design and develop functional programs while minimizing development time and ensuring maintainability. 
    • Certified LabVIEW Architect - Architects have demonstrated that they have reached the highest skill level and can develop a framework for an application to be executed by a team of developers if given a set of high-level requirements.

Inventory/Stockroom Clerk


Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Physical control of inventory entering and exiting the stockroom.
  • Maintain databases of all incoming and outgoing parts.
  • Physical cycle counts & investigation of discrepancies.
  • Kitting and delivering parts for production.
  • Working to help improve all current inventory & related operations.
  • Ability to prioritize daily routines.
  • Receiving of incoming freight and un-packaging.
  • Occasionally working in a hot or cold environmentSecondary Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in all aspects of Inventory Control as needed without exception.


Qualifications/Requirements:

Job Summary:
To support the Engineering team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Design & Prototyping group as well as Purchasing department.

Position Overview:
