The TSS5201 is a 48 bay, rugged storage solution which utilizes a Single Board Computer and Backplane computing methodology to deliver high performance data storage and retrieval in environments where survivability of traditional storage servers would not meet deployment requirements.

The TSS5201 utilizes two COTS PCIe drive/RAID controllers to facilitate communication between the host board and the 48 front-facing drive carriers, which have hot-swap capability.  Additionally, the TSS5201 has provisions for an additional 4 internal 2.5″ drives for added data security and a slot-load optical disk drive.

Available with a variety of PICMG 1.3 Single Board Computers and Backplanes, the TSS5201 also offers additional PCIe expansion capability to allow the TSS5201 to be precisely configured to meet your application requirements.  The chassis supports either AC or DC system power for flexibility in data center or field deployment and each TSS5201 comes with the long-life cycle stability and peace-of-mind provided by SBC and backplane availability of seven-years or more.

  • Drive type and individual drive capacity dependent
  • 2.5” front access driver carriers support SSDs or 15mm thick 1TB or greater HDDs
  • System level data storage capacity is typically 26TB – 104TB when using 2.5” HDDs
  • System level data storage capacity is typically 15.6TB – 41.6TB when using 2.5” SSDs
  • Maximum system-level data storage capacity increases with larger capacity drives
